God's Agents of Kindness
God's Agents of Kindness (GAK) is a service group of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They deliver collected food to food pantries, have a fundraiser to earn money, so they can buy Christmas gifts for a needy family. They also participate in the annual CROP Walk. They are making a difference in our church, neighborhood and city!
Fall 2012 Schedule
The kickoff meeting is Sunday, August 26, from 11:50 am to 1:00 pm. All 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders are invited to join GAK. The scheduled meetings are: September 23, October 28, and November 18 (shopping trip). There will be no meeting in December.
A GAK Project
The GAK members delivered 55 birthday bags to the Round Rock Serving Center. The supplies for the bags were collected during the Sunday worship services.
A birthday bag has all the supplies needed for a child's birthday party. Each birthday bag contained a box of cake mix, a can of frosting, a package of birthday candles, a package of small party napkins, a package of small party plates, eight plastic forks, and eight party invitations.
Families who use the Round Rock Serving Center Food Pantry are given a bag when one of their children has an upcoming birthday.
