Small groups are a unique chance to be part of discussions that challenge both the mind and the heart. Our small groups are a place where folks with different opinions and life experiences can gather around a topic and discuss it and discern how Christ would have us live. It's not a lecture or worship service.
Sunday Morning Current Events Group

Join us at 9:30 on Sunday mornings in Room 6 as we get out our newspapers and our Bibles each week. From sports to politics to weather to business, we have got it covered. Discussions have tackled topics such as Rick Perry and Convergen, Global Warming, the NFL Lockout, the Chavez Nativity, the Dunning-Kruger effect, and Butterfly Care.
We begin each week with Scripture (before we look at the story) and then read a story followed by discussion questions around the Scripture and the story. Jesus was not a pie-in-the-sky sort of guy; he was very much incarnated. This is one of the ways we work to keep our faith central in the day-to-day.
