The group meets at every Sunday at 5:00 pm in a private home. Please check the website calendar for the current location. The group leader is Lyn Brown.
FED Groups
FED stands for Fellowship, Education and Discussion. A FED Group is a small group home-based gathering that meets once a week. Currently we have four FED Groups.
Small groups can be invaluable for finding and making spiritual connections with others in a more intimate setting than the church. You don't have to have any special knowledge or experience to be a member of a FED group or start a FED group - just a desire to spend time with others.
Sunday Morning FED Group
Experience a FED Group on Sunday morning at United Christian Church in Room 9 at 10:45 am. The group leader is Donna Walrath.
Friday Night FED Group
The Friday Night FED Group meets once a week from 6:30 to 9:30 pm in a private home. All ages of children are welcome. Dinner is from 6:30-7:00. The host usually provides the main dish and sends out an email on Thursday or Friday so others can provide side dishes. Nikki Stahl is the group coordinator.
The current study is the book Speaking Christian: Why Christian Words Have Lost Their Meaning and Power by Marcus Borg.
Thursday Night FED Group
Join us as we explore the books of the Bible that were written by Paul and compare those to the ones written in his name by other people – the radical Paul, the conservative Paul, and the reactionary Paul. We are looking at passages by topic, including issues such as the future, women, sexuality, authority, and the church. Since this is a thematic study, it’s easy to just come in and join us for a session or two, even if you’ve never been part of a FED group.
